The position:
Compliance Corporation is seeking a motivated and positive minded Engineer to work as an Electrical Design/Test Engineer in our cross functional, multi-disciplined team. This contract provides a wide range of technical services in developing and maintaining Identification Systems (IDS) in support of our Navy customer. The salary range of this position is $80,000.00 – $110,000.00, and is commensurate with experience. This position is not eligible for remote work; on-site support is required.
About the location:
This position is located in scenic and historic Southern Maryland in the St. Mary’s County Technology Corridor adjacent to the Patuxent River Naval Air Station. Relocation assistance may be available for qualified candidate. Applicants must be currently residing in or willing to relocate to St. Mary’s County, Maryland or surrounding areas.
A typical day as an Electrical Engineer II (Radar Systems Design) may include:
The selected candidate will provide design, test and evaluation support for the customer, developing technical solutions for complex systems. Will entail requirements development, design of electronics equipment for military systems application, system to platform integration, and system performance investigation and resolution. May participate in programmatic and technical interchange meetings, review of technical documents, development of requirements and validation of system performance. This tasking will require working within an interdisciplinary working group of acquisition, engineering, system integration and technical professionals, and systems integration staff.
Must-haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
- Minimum of 4 years of experience designing and/or test of electronic systems
- Ability to obtain and maintain the required secret security clearance
- US Citizenship is required
Desired Skills:
- Experience with IFF interrogator/transponder system design, test, and evaluation
- Experience performing requirements trace to test plans
- Experience developing test plans/procedures, running tests, collecting and organizing test data, and writing test reports
- Experience/Knowledge of VHDL programming
